Scope and Contents

The 348th AirCorDet was a College Training Detachment of the Army Air Forces. While receiving training at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, the 348th were occupants of the 3rd floor of Love Library. Bernard E Bailey, an occupant of Love Library, personally handled all regulation requirements of the 348th AirCorDet.

Scope and Contents The collection consists of letters to his parents in Nelson, Nebraska, throughout the duration of his deployment (Sept. 1917 through May 1919), as well as letters from his brothers, Richard and Harold, to their parents. A set of postcards includes notes on the back of each card that provides additional description about the location on the front of the postcard, written by Goodrich.
