The oral history interview of Vard Johnson, Director of the Legal Aid Society in Omaha, was conducted by UNO student Richard W. Peterson on December 10, 1975. Johnson primarily discussed the Navajo Reservation. Johnson shared his experiences providing legal services while he served on the Navajo Reservation. He also discussed the costs of the U.S. government limiting self-determination of Native American tribes.
