The ink blotters were created as advertisements for various Omaha businesses and candidates for Nebraska public offices including MUD (Metropolitan Utilities District), State Railway Commissioner, Republican National Committee, and Attorney General. The advertisements for business include banks, insurance, dry cleaners, Jerseywood Dairy, Kilpatrick’s Furs, shoe repairs, Franklin Printing House, and other businesses.
