This set of photocopies includes a copy of "A Few Incidents in the Life of a Sexagenarian," a biography of Jay Montgomery Hurd. Included in the appendices are the Jay Montgomery Hurd family tree and a biographical sketch of Charles A. Homes copied from "State of Nebraska Historical Book." J.M. Hurd was the father of Frank Hurd, one of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s first graduates.

Scope and Contents The Walter and Anna McKee Halsey Collection comprises correspondence of Reverend Walter N. Halsey, his wife Anna Mary McKee Halsey, and their descendants, along with photographs, artifacts, and ephemera. Most of the letters were written by Anna McKee Halsey. Anna McKee's correspondence with her parents and siblings about her experiences as a missionary in New Mexico covers the time period 1884-1885.
