The collection consists of portions of The Nebraska Farmer magazines containing Amy Bruner Almy’s short stories, "Out Wild Turkey Way," from November 24, 1934, and "Christmas In-Between," from December 22, 1934.

The collection consists of four letters from Andy Adams addressed to “Dear Bob” dating from 1925, 1926, 1928, and 1934; a telegram; and newspaper clippings from the 1920s-1940 discussing Adams’ career. In the letters Adams writes about his published novels, a manuscript he is working on, and rejections from publishers.

The papers include photocopies of materials from the 1870s-1890s including a few works of Anson Uriel Hancock, a small biography, obituaries of Hancock and his wife, records of their children, short stories, and reviews.

The Ervin Krause Papers are primarily comprised of notebooks, manuscripts, and typescripts created by Ervin Krause and include short stories, novels, and nonfiction. Some of Krause’s stories exist only in handwritten form in notebooks. A small amount of correspondence, both personal and professional, is also found in the collection.

Hilda Raz's professional life as a writer, editor, and educator are represented in the collection materials. Correspondence and manuscripts comprise about half of the collection. The remainder relates primarily to Raz's work as an educator, including her work as a professor at UNL and as a lecturer at conferences and workshops. Throughout the collection, quotation marks indicate original folder titles, and italics are used for titles of works.

Scope and Contents The collection contains Ivan Beede's letters to his friend Kenneth Forward written from 1920-1931. In his letters he described life in Boston, its social scene and political campaigns, the newspaper world, and discussed contemporary writers, plays, and other events. Of special interest are his interviews of the Gish sisters, R. Duncan, and Pola Negri. The collection includes three sections of an original typescript of Robert McAlmon's manuscript, “Transcontinental.” The provenance of the typescript is not known.
