The collection consists of many small pamphlets on varying topics from the Soviet Union, also called the United Soviety Socialist Republics between 1922-1991. and . The dates of the pamphlets range from 1982-2005, but primarily include pamphlets written between 1987 and 1989. The subjects of most of the pamphlets are glasnost and perestroika and issues surrounding both. The issues include space exploration, weapons, culture, armament, human rights, sports, and the environment.
