KVNO Halley’s Comet Mug, 1985

Scope and Contents

Limited edition ceramic mug from the Fall 1985 KVNO fundraising campaign. The campaign theme was Halley's Comet, which was scheduled to be visible in the sky during February 1986. The following is written on the mug: KVNO 90.7 Halley's. On the bottom the mug is numbered 83 of 100.

Scope and Contents

A green UNO mug white "Mavericks" and the Durango head in white on two sides. The mug is 3.75" tall and 4.5" at its widest point. Manufactured by Quickpoint and the plastic used to make the mug was from corn products per the bottom of the mug. The version of the Mavericks logo dates this mug to circa 1997-2011.

Two cream colored mugs with red text reading "Old Indians - OU / 20th Anniversary" with a depiction of the OU mascot Ouampi (an outdated Native American stereotype) on the reverse side. Unlike the standard "war cry" depiction of Ouampi, this variation is smirking.
