Scope and Contents Archival material from the Great Plains Black History Museum (GPBHM) consists of over 200 document boxes of letters, photographs, clippings, artifacts, and other collection material. The NHSPA publications are those produced by the organization through the School of Journalism. They include announcements, articles, and photographs that were authored or created by association members. These publications include the Round Table and The Format.

Content Description

A photo album belonging to a young white woman who attended Omaha Central High School. The album includes photographs of friends and family around Omaha and its environs including their homes. Some photographs are identified either by name such as Mel, Mabel, Ruth Guss, or Rex the dog or by their association to the photo album compiler such as noting that someone was their teacher or a classmate at Central High School.

The records consist of newsletters, yearbooks, scrapbooks, photographs, vinyl recordings, and programs created by the students at the Teachers College High School and University High School from 1931 until 1967.

Although content varies somewhat throughout the decades, newsletters from every period provide listings of summer sessions and courses, including correspondence and night courses. Scope and Contents This collection contains correspondence created by the Dean’s Office of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications from 1990 to 2000. The correspondence is between students, alumni, notable individuals, and various corporations. The correspondence also includes journalistic organizations, such as news groups and newspapers, and other universities and colleges.
