Dale Gibbs, Architecture Papers
The collection relates to Dale Gibbs career as a professor of architecture at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. It contains correspondence, papers, teaching and university materials, slides, photographs, and architectural drawings, including Gibbs' work as a professional and undergraduate at UNL and student drawings from architectural rendering classes. Among the materials are numerous folders related to the college's London Program.
Evelyn Metzger, Architecture Postcards
The postcard collection includes the subjects of French chateaux, French cathedrals and modern Paris, English painting and costume, English architecture, French interiors, Italian architecture, Italian painting, and English furniture interiors. The postcards are unused, the backs of the postcards have printed information but no handwriting.
Grant Memorial Hall, Architectural Objects, Physical Education for Women Records
These items came from Grant Memorial Hall, which had been used as a gymnasium by the Women's Physical Education department prior to its demolition. Included are newel posts from old Grant Memorial Hall and other architectural-related items.
Hispanic Society Latin America, Photographs
The photo postcards were produced by the Hispanic Society of America in the 1920s as curators traveled throughout Latin America, Portugal, and Spain.The images document places, culture, landmarks, industry, and daily life. Both rural and urban scenes are included. Each postcard contains brief information about the location, but none of the photographs are dated. Those taken in Spain were photographed by E.M. Newman.
