The papers of Belle Hauser are composed of six diaries and a small amount of correspondence. Hauser was a teacher in Pennsylvania, which she discussed in her diaries. Her collection makes reference to her interest in and perhaps involvement in the Temperance Movement and the Democratic Party. One of her letters discusses the evils of liquor (possibly a portion of a speech).
This small collection contains the program from the November 31, 1931, University of Omaha Homecoming football contest against Wayne; two copies of the Municipal University of Omaha Student Council Constitution; and a few newspaper clippings.
Small collection consisting of reproduced documents pertaining to Bertha Mengedoht Hatz, arts patron and donor to the University of Omaha. Items in the collection include family photographs, newspaper clippings relating to Hatz’s donations and her 1963 postmortem endowment to the University of Omaha, a photograph of Hatz’s donated items on display, and a photocopy of Hatz’s last will and testament.
The papers of Betti Coleman Sage include programs, invitations, photographs, news clippings, and other ephemera from her years as a OU student (1955-1957) as well as some material from the University of Nebraska at Omaha Alumni Association in the 1970s.
Bond issue statements preceding the 1930 election prepared for OU Regent Paul L. Martin and OU President W. E. Sealock at their request in 1935. Correspondence and related news clippings are also in the collection.
The Buffett Ephemera Collection includes material about Warren Buffett, Buffett’s immediate family members, and Berkshire Hathaway. The collection is an artificial collection of donations from various individuals. Included are magazine and other news articles, fliers and other material distributed at or related to the Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders meeting, University of Nebraska at Omaha College of Business Administration publications related to Buffett, and related material.
The Crete Relay was organized by the OU Alumni Association after an invitation from the Mayor of Omaha to the Mayor of Crete to sit with him at the OU Homecoming game against Doane College. OU alumni and students ran a 102-mile relay to hand-deliver the event ticket to Crete. The scrapbook includes news clippings, copies of the letters exchanged, and related material.
The scrapbook created by UNO student Danielle Simpson while an undergraduate student documents her membership in Chi Omega sorority Zeta Delta Chapter (pledged January 26, 1985), working as a student Ambassador, scholastic achievements, and other student interests and activities. The scrapbook includes photographs, news clippings, correspondence, invitations, felt Chi Omega letters, Ambassador name badge, and other material. Also included is Simpson's Chi Omega pin.
The collection of material gathered by UNO professor Edsel Buchanan includes a selection of UNO event programs, publications, publicity materials, news clippings, and correspondence about Buchanan's publications.
The papers of Harold Johnk document his student athletic career at the University of Omaha, his time as an assistant Football coach, and induction into the UNO Athletics Hall of Fame in 1980.
The collection of material created by Harry Duncan is of undetermined origin and includes a partial transcription of an interview of Duncan, the partial text of a lecture given by Duncan, one folder of Duncan ephemera, news clippings, and other related material.
One sheet of paper with the Lambda Chi Alpha crest and member signatures. the members were formerly part of Sigma Lambda Beta, which was a social fraternity established at the Municipal University of Omaha in 1949. It was the last OU fraternity to affiliate with a national organization when it joined Lambda Chi Alpha in May 1952.
It is unrelated to the Latino fraternity Sigma Lambda Beta which established a chapter at UNO in 2000.
This collection includes materials from Travel & Transport, Inc., Nebraska tourism, and Haulaway, Inc. Also included are materials gathered from Lawrence Youngman’s interest in Nebraska aviation and air travel in general and from the months he spent in Europe as an Omaha World-Herald correspondent during World War II.
The papers consist of articles, newspaper clippings, letters, and various memorabilia about poet Weldon Kees, collected by Marion Weston.
The Matinee Musicale Club Records document the activities of the Omaha women's club through programs, news clippings, correspondence, and other records. Much of the collection was originally arranged in scrapbooks and binders before being disassembled.
