Content Description The memories of J.K. Marlay of Lincoln, Nebraska of his service in the U.S. Civil War as a Major in the 60th Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry are captured in a journal written in 1896-1897. The collection also includes letters addressed to Marlay's granddaughter Marjorie Noble of Portland, Oregon. The letters were written in 1892 and most were pasted into the journal.
