The correspondence is arranged alphabetically by subject and covers a wide range of topics related to university administration and activities.  Among the subjects are: university events such as honors day, charter day, convocations and commencements;  student financial aid and scholarships; military training and the War Department;  budgets and planning; campus buildings; faculty and staff; the Board of Regents; University Foundation; and educational associations.

The collection consists of Lassara Hartman Long’s certificates and diplomas, including a First Grade City State Certificate for teaching and a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics, both received in 1918 from University of Nebraska.  A program from the University of Nebraska’s commencement, June 1917, an alumni card and certificate, and a list of coursework for an advanced degree make up the remainder of the collection.

The Omaha Covid-19 collection was created to document the experiences of the Omaha community during the covid-19 pandemic. The collection includes paper and digital materials from muliple donors. Contributers include Omaha businesses, Omaha community members, and UNO. Currently, the collection includes materials from 2020 to the present, as of February 10th, 2021, but collection is ongoing and will continue to grow. Some of the digital materials are available at covid19Omaha.omeka.net.
