Significant materials include a unique 1883 tintype of cow, known as Nellie Hopewell, sweepstake winner of the Danville, Illinois Fair.

Reithmeyer, part of a memoir and history written by Steele, and photocopies of postcards and photographs from scrapbook pages including information about Captain Robert S. Blanton.
