Elwood W. Camp, World War II Records

The materials include a handwritten diary, general, special and restricted military orders from Camp's ROTC service and as part of the U.S. Army. Camp's scrapbook includes correspondence, photographs, and newspaper clippings following World War II. One of Camp's ancestors served in the Civil War and the letters he wrote between 1862 and 1864 were transcribed and self-published by Andrew J. Morris in 1984.

The collection includes leaflets, newspapers, and posters that he saved from store windows in Manila. The leaflets in the collection were produced mainly by the Japanese intelligence forces and were targeted at Australian, Dutch and American troops. Several of the propaganda leaflets aimed at the Australians were designed to cause dissatisfaction between them and the US forces. Franklin D.
