The materials consist of photographic prints and slides showing women's physical education activities, deparment staff, students, and events. Women's sports pictured include archery, badminton, basketball, bowling, canoeing, dance, fencing, golf, gymnastics, general physical fitness, softball, swimming, table tennis, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.

The collection consists of subject files from the Teachers College Department of Physical Education for Women, and the files are arranged alphabetically.  Highlights include records from the Athletic and Recreation Federation of College Women; information about the women's physical education building; physical education requirements and statistics; information about alumnae and former staff; and scrapbooks, programs, and reports from the Aquaettes.  An additional inventory is available.
