The collection consists of several thousand photographic prints, negatives, glass plate negatives, and lantern slides.  In most cases the prints and negatives are identified by number and subject.  The dates are usually not included.  The images relate to various activities of the faculty, staff, and students of the College of Agriculture, Agricultural Extension Service, and Experiment Station.

The collection consists of photographic prints and negatives related to agricultural extension.  The images show locations in Lincoln and other areas in Nebraska.  Many images related to agricultural engineering as well as general agricultural work.  The collection has been retained in the alphabetical order in which it was received.  An additional inventory is available.

Scope and Contents The photographs from the Department of Agronomy were created between 1924-1962 and include prints and mounted photographs used as teaching aids to educate students in a Land Capability Class on conservation studies. This collection contains general materials regarding the Poultry Science department of the College of Agriculture.  Included is a pamphlet, Just Over the Hill, from 1925 detailing the Poultry Science program.  Another pamphlet, Careers in the Poultry Industry, explaining opportunities of Poultry Science graduates.  Finally, there is document containing information on proposed course modifications in the program from Nov. 1, 1966.

The R.B. Warren, Animal Science Papers consists of membership rosters, competition scores, and team photographs of the University of Nebraska Livestock Judging Teams from 1909-1995. The papers contain glass slides and negatives of animal husbandry presentations on horses and livestock temperature. Significant materials include a unique 1883 tintype of cow, known as Nellie Hopewell, sweepstake winner of the Danville, Illinois Fair.
