Nebraska Quilt Project, Records

Scope and Contents The Nebraska Quilt Project began in 1987 under the leadership of Patricia Cox Crews and Ronald C. Naugle. The two worked together to register over 3,000 quiltmakers and almost 5,000 quilts made in Nebraska or brought to the state by homesteaders or pioneers before the 1920s. The findings of the project were published in Nebraska Quilts and Quiltmakers, (Lincoln: University of Nebraska Press, c1991). Scope and Contents

Materials in the collection include an incomplete set of annual bulletins from 1914 to 1931, debate study materials, photographs, and newspaper clippings.  Study materials compiled by members of the UNL Intercollegiate Debate Seminary for the annual statewide debate championship were published by the UNL Department of Extension.  The study materials evolve from simple bibliographies of suggested reading materials to comprehensive, separately published handbooks.
