Scope and Contents

The Sally Garoutte papers contain correspondence, typescripts, and published works focused on quilts and quilt history. The research materials focus on quilts and information on textiles and textile trade. The materials include several sets of fabric swatches. Photographs documenting quilts and quilters can also be found in the collection. The Garoutte papers were maintained by the American Quilt Study Group and both the papers and the AQSG records contain research files that are arranged in alphabetical order and several topics are represented in both collections.
