Scope and Contents

The correspondence and several research files relate to documentation work done for the Bayles Quilt (also spelt Bayless or Bayliss) held at the Dallas Historical Society. The majority of research materials are photocopies of articles and research sources related to a specific topic. Many of the research files include Church's handwritten notes and comments on the published articles. Types of items within the research files include correspondence, photocopies of published articles, research notes and questions, notes on genealogical work, bibliographies and resources, photographic slides, and maps. There are also selected exhibit catalogs and flyers for quilt-related items such as books.
