Scope and Contents
The American Quilt Study Group (AQSG) Records include administrative correspondence, the "Blanket Statement" newsletters, and documents created through administrative and general membership activities. The subject and research files document a wide variety of topics related to quilt studies and textiles. The files were initially developed through the efforts of Sally Garoutte, Joyce Gross, and through the activities and administration of AQSG. The subject files were developed through the efforts of Sally Garoutte and Joyce Gross, officers, and AQSG members. Generally, the subject files include original published articles, photocopies, newsletters, press releases, newspaper articles, exhibit posters, photographs, slides, and swatch books. The AQSG records assist in the study of quilts, quilt making, and quilters.
