This collection contains audiocisual materials of lectures by the Journalism faculty for undergraduate courses. Lecturers include Laurie Lee, Professor of Broadcasting, and Amy Struthers, Professor of Advertising and Public Relations. Courses that were filmed include 456/856, ADV 881, and ADV 884.

Biographical / Historical
Journalism classes at the University of Nebraska began in 1894 under the direction of Will Owen Jones, both a student and a faculty member. Miller Moore Fogg, a professor in English, directed the School of Journalism after it formed in 1923. In 1979 the School became independent of the College of Arts and Sciences and in 1985 became officially the College of Journalism. It is now known as the College of Journalism and Mass Communications.

The collection contains VHS tapes. Special equipment may be required to access these recordings.
Separated Materials
RG 14-02- There is no record of permissions for recording faculty for the transferred VHS. Journalism faculty represented are no longer available, or no longer have the capacity, to provide permissions. Based on that information and a current understanding of intellectual property, we will not keep the recordings where we do not have permissions. Only 1 box retained.
