Scope and Contents
This collection consists of cabinet card photographs of Adams Bromley and Mary Frances Sheldon, reproduction photographs of A. Bromley, Mary Frances, and other Sheldon family members copied from a family scrapbook for use at the Sheldon Museum of Art, photographs and cabinet cards of unidentified Sheldon family members, and photographs of a boat, a cat, and landscapes.

Biographical / Historical
The Sheldon family originally hailed from the state of Vermont. Siblings Adams Bromley and Mary Frances were born in 1887 and 1892, respectively. The family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in 1900. Mary Frances joined the Nebraska Art Association in the early 1930s and shared her interest in art with Adams Bromley. The money they bequeathed to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln after their deaths was used to create the Sheldon Museum of Art in 1963.
