John J. Pershing, Records

John J. Pershing, Records includes correspondence from May and Warren Pershing to Keith and Marion Walker and Helen Hall, newspaper clippings featuring John Pershing and family, photographs of John Pershing’s funeral, and audio records of Pershing Marches and the 1936 West Point Anniversary Celebration. Also included is May Pershing’s guest book containing the signatures of notable university figures including John J. Pershing, H. Alice Howell, Edwin Barbour, Samuel and May Avery, Fred Morrow Fling, Helen Hall, Mabel Lee, and Louise Pound.

Also included is the Bernard R. McCoy Pershing Collection containing materials collected by Bernard McCoy for use in his 2017 television documentary, Black Jack Pershing Love and War. Materials include photographs of General John J. Pershing, May Pershing, Warren Pershing, Micheline Resco, and others. Also contains a paperweight and service medal with John Pershing’s image and DVDs of the documentaries, Face Off Pershing vs. Gallwitz (2009) and Black Jack Pershing Love and War (2017).
