Scope and Contents
Fort D. A. Russell, Photographs contains two 1890s photographs taken of the pump house and engineer's residence at Fort David A. Russell near Cheyenne, Wyoming. The first photograph captioned "The Engineer" is a portrait of Charles E. Week leaning up against a doorway near a furnace with a shovel in hand. The second photograph captioned "Pump House and Residence of the Engineer" shows a brick building with several family members standing outside. A man holding the reigns of a horse and a dog are seen nearby.
Sir Archibald Weigall, Photograph contains one photograph print portrait of British politician Sir Archibald Weigall riding a horse in 1945.
Two photographs of John Krieger working in the University of Nebraska Press Room. He worked there for 50 years.
Earl Waddell, Military Photograph contains one cabinet card studio portrait of a group of 8 men dressed in military uniforms probably from the Spanish American War in the 1890s. The photograph was taken by J.A. Hayden photography studio in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Robert H. Ritterbush, Slides 6 35mm slides with images of various buildings in Nebraska and on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. The photographs were taken by Robert H. Ritterbush in the 1960s. He was an architect in Bismarck, North Dakota with Ritterbush Brothers Architects and Engineers (later Ritterbush Associates). Ritterbush often photographed complete buildings and those under construction while traveling.
