Scope and Contents
The AAUP records include materials from the local chapter at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the Nebraska state conference, and from the AAUP national headquarters. The records illustrate the activities of the AAUP UNL chapter and the Nebraska state conference throughout the 1960s until the late 1980s. Many of the materials reflect faculty issues at the local level. However, the materials generated officially by AAUP and its committees inform the work of the state conference and local chapter and many of these associated documents are found in the records, including AAUP policy statements, principles, recommended 'best' practices, background papers, and AAUP policies and statements. Includes material from the special AAUP committee. The AAUP materials also illustrate the activities of UNL faculty and University of Nebraska-Lincoln administration.
