Histories and Statistics, Physical Education for Women Records
Scope and Contents
The majority of items include histories on the Women's Physical Education Department at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, either written by faculty or alumni. Mabel Lee, who directed the department from 1924-1952, wrote an historical essay and provided multiple sets of statistics on classes, students, faculty, administrative staff, and general activities. There are materials that are copied from other university records. For example, there are clippings from the university-wide newsletter titled "Bulletin Board," copies from selected course catalogs, and a single letter provided to the Board of Regents.
