Nebraska Arboretums, Nebraska Statewide Arboretum Records
Scope and Contents
The Arboretum records include documents on the arboretums in Nebraska, such as correspondence, pamphlets, reports, and maps. There are occasional applications or nomination requests for arboretum status and memorandum of understanding between the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum and location representatives. Many of the files include lists of trees meant for a chosen location. Some arboretum files include documents on "pre-construction planning and decision making" and "on-going administrative concerns" related to specific arboretum, detailing plans, funding and donations, volunteers, resources, marketing and documentation. The correspondence associated with the Friends of the Maxwell Arboretum contains information related to gift and memorial plantings.
