Scope and Contents
The William J. Loeffel, Animal Science Papers consists of correspondence, publications, talks, University of Nebraska livestock histories, pedigrees, and feeding experiment reports. Also included are Conference of Representatives of Institutions Engaged in Cooperative Quality-in-Meat Investigations meeting reports, Conference on Cooperative Meat Investigations Report of Review Committee, and other research reports from Loeffel’s position as chair of the Department of Animal Husbandry (now Animal Science). Significant materials include the manuscript, The History of the Animal Husbandry Department University of Nebraska, published after Loeffel’s death in 1963.
