Scope and Contents
The Brouse papers consist of agricultural photographs from the University of Nebraska Experiment Station in Valentine, Nebraska, experimental farms, and private ranches in Cherry and Holt counties, Nebraska, from the 1920s-1950s. The photographs document phosphorus treatment research on the growth of clover and other native grasses, cattle food experiments, a 1924 sand blow that occurred west of Thedford, Nebraska, and prairie landscapes. The photographs are arranged alphabetically by subject and location provided in the original captions.
