Biographical / Historical
E. A. Burnett served as Chancellor of the University of Nebraska from 1927 until 1938. He first came to Nebraska in 1899 as director of animal husbandry and to teach at the university farm. In 1908, he became dean of agriculture and directed the Agriculture Experiment Station. He remained in this position until he first became acting chancellor in 1927, and then chancellor in 1928. Burnett died on June 28, 1941.
