Scope and Contents
The records contain a plaque and tiepin with the Universitas Nebraskensis seal, souvenir rope from the Nebraska vs. Minnesota football game (1902), souvenir spoons from the class of 1903 “Sneak Day”, University of Nebraska centennial stamps (1969), various Nebraska buttons and pins, tiles from Smith Hall, L.C. Oberlies’ wooden walking cane (1895), a hall pass (1918), and a University of Nebraska leather, a promotional item distributed by tobacco companies.
The collection also includes a set of commemorative dining plates with images of University of Nebraska buildings (1931) and a wooden box with a silver photograph of an undated early campus scene captioned "Nebraska State University, Lincoln Neb." The photograph was taken from the corner of R and 12th streets and shows University Hall, Library Hall, Chemistry Hall, Old Administration Hall, and the Old Museum.
