Scope and Contents On May 4, 1970, U.S. National Guard troops opened fire on student protesters at Kent State University, killing four students. After the incident, student activism increased throughout the nation and groups on many campuses produced publications calling for social change. Among those publications is the Kent Strike Paper. Laird G. Wolfe, World War II Propaganda

Scope and Contents The collection includes leaflets, newspapers, and posters that he saved from store windows in Manila. The leaflets in the collection were produced mainly by the Japanese intelligence forces and were targeted at Australian, Dutch and American troops. Several of the propaganda leaflets aimed at the Australians were designed to cause dissatisfaction between them and the US forces. Franklin D. Roosevelt is often portrayed as a villain in both leaflets for the Australians and the Americans.
