Scope and Contents
The papers of Richard Newell include material related to his areas of research interest in Afghan studies. Newell was an historian and a representative of the Asia Foundation in Kabul, Afghanistan in the mid-20th century. The collection includes correspondence, reports, presentations, briefing papers, and related material.
