UNO Henningson Memorial Campanile Photograph Exhibit Collection
Scope and Contents
The UNO Henningson Memorial Campanile Photograph Exhibit Collection comprises 52 photographs taken by Les Valentine, University Archivist, documenting the construction of the Henningson Memorial Campanile (commonly referred to as the bell tower) on the University of Nebraska at Omaha Dodge Street campus. The photographs were all taken from the roof of the University Library (now the Criss Library). The first photograph is dated 1987 and depicts the site prior to the start of construction. The majority of the photographs were taken throughout 1988, depicting the progress of the construction. The final photograph, taken in January 1989, depicts the bell tower in a nearly-complete state. No post-construction photographs are included in this collection. The photographs are color, 8" x 12", matted to 14" x 17".
