UNO Poster Collection
Scope and Contents
The UNO Poster Collection includes posters, fliers, and banners from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. The bulk of the collection is a series of posters and fliers which were displayed on bulletin boards on campus. These are predominantly advertisements for on-campus events or for UNO-sponsored off-campus events. The collection also includes a series of paper, cloth, and vinyl banners which were created for and displayed at various campus events. The exact date range of the collection is undetermined, but is not believed to extend earlier than about 1968. Most materials are believed to date from the 1980s to the present. This collection has not yet been further arranged and described.
Please note that this general UNO Poster Collection does not include any UNO Theatre posters. For posters advertising dramatic productions by students at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and its predecessor the University of Omaha, please see the UNO Theatre Records. Posters from the UNO Writer's Workshop are housed in this collection and with the UNO Writer's Workshop Records.
