John Barton Railroad Collection
Scope and Contents
The collection compiled by railroad enthusiast John Barton includes many images of locomotives, with a slight emphasis on shrouded steam locomotives. Resources include printouts from the internet (many lacking identification of subject or source), photographs, booklets, and magazines. Also included are: catalogs and brochures related to model trains; booklets, brochures, and articles related to a rail bridge over the Rhine River relevant to the Battle of the Bulge in World War II; and photographs of John Barton and copies of his memorial program.

The collection is open for research use.
