Scope and Contents
The Hugh P. Cowdin Papers is comprised of the files of Cowdin including from his time as chair of the Department of Communication at the University of Nebraska at Omaha from 1975 until 1995. The papers include correspondence, memos, meeting notes, committee information, budget summaries, policies, program reviews, space planning information, high school journalism conference information, and other professional and administrative files. This collection has not yet been further arranged and described.

The collection is open for research use. Manuscript collections and archival records may contain materials with sensitive or confidential information that is protected under federal or state right to privacy laws and regulations, the Nebraska Public Records Statutes (Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 84-712 through 84-712.09), and other relevant regulations. Confidential material may include, but is not limited to, educational, medical, and personnel records.
