Phi Delta Gamma Records
Scope and Contents
The Phi Delta Gamma Records document the Omaha chapter of Phi Delta Gamma at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and its predecessor the Municipal University of Omaha, dating from 1932 to 2018. The collection includes scrapbooks, guest books, meeting minutes, correspondence, financial information, chapter handbooks, the chapter’s charter, the chapter chair’s manual, selected memorabilia, and other chapter information as well as national material related to some conventions and meetings, the Phi Delta Gamma Journal, brochures, annual reports, artifacts, and other organizational papers.

The collection is open for research use. Manuscript collections and archival records may contain materials with sensitive or confidential information that is protected under federal or state right to privacy laws and regulations, the Nebraska Public Records Statutes (Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 84-712 through 84-712.09), and other relevant regulations. Confidential material may include, but is not limited to, educational, medical, and personnel records. Researchers are advised that the disclosure of certain information pertaining to identifiable living individuals represented in this collection without the consent of those individuals may have legal ramifications (e.g., a cause of action under common law for invasion of privacy may arise if facts concerning an individual's private life are published that would be deemed highly offensive to a reasonable person) for which the University of Nebraska Omaha assumes no responsibility.

Custodial History
This collection was transferred to Criss Library by Janet T. Pol, Business Statistics Coordinator and College of Business Administration Webmaster at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, on March 24, 2014. Pol and a member of the organization had done some work with the material before the transfer.
New material added 2015-04-24: Janet Pol transferred three boxes containing a selection of yearbooks/scrapbooks (1951/1952-2011/2014), NU chapter meeting minutes (1945-1959), and convention proceedings.
New material added 2017-09-06: Janet Pol transfered one box containing Phi Delta Gamma Omaha Nu Chapter meeting minutes, correspondence, financial information, chapter handbooks, and other chapter information (1981-2009).
New material added 2019-05-29: Janet Pol gathered and transferred the material after the chapter ceased operations.
Processing Information
Initial inventory begun by Alan Greunke, practicum student, in March, 2014. Inventory incomplete. Collection has not yet been arranged and described.
