Jo Ann (Jody) Carrigan Papers

The Jo Ann (Jody) Carrigan Papers comprises the professional files of Jo Ann Carrigan from her years of service as a faculty member in the Department of History at the University of Nebraska at Omaha from 1970 until 1996. The papers include correspondence, reports, guides, handbooks, departmental and program assessments, collective bargaining agreements, newsletters, workshop information, internship information, administrative documents, promotion and tenure information, course lists, syllabi, curriculum information, history papers, grant information, insurance forms, job applications, history department meeting minutes, committee minutes and notes, news clippings, awards, maps, overhead transparencies, and other papers. Aside from the Department of History and graduate studies programs, a sampling of topics within the collection includes unionization, women's studies, affirmative action, equal rights, and volunteer action. The material covers not only the History Department, but also numerous committees, task forces, and boards; UNO Faculty Senate; the Missouri Valley History Conference; various intercampus committees; and other organizations with which Carrigan was associated.
