UNO Student Government Records
Scope and Contents
The UNO Student Government Records comprise the files, binders, and audio cassettes of the University of Nebraska at Omaha Student Government (UNO-SG). The collection includes materials that have not yet been arranged and described, including audio cassettes, minutes, budget information, bylaws, plans, committee information, agency information, reports, election information, and other miscellaneous information, from 1968/1969 through at least 1988/1989. The collection also includes the binders of the Student Senate, which contain the printed agendas, minutes, resolutions, and letters of statement of the Student Senate, covering the period from 1968/1969 through 2008/2009. Some of the records include handwritten annotations.

Conditions Governing Access
The collection is open for research use. Manuscript collections and archival records may contain materials with sensitive or confidential information that is protected under federal or state right to privacy laws and regulations, the Nebraska Public Records Statutes (Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 84-712 through 84-712.09), and other relevant regulations. Confidential material may include, but is not limited to, educational, medical, and personnel records. Researchers are advised that the disclosure of certain information pertaining to identifiable living individuals represented in this collection without the consent of those individuals may have legal ramifications (e.g., a cause of action under common law for invasion of privacy may arise if facts concerning an individual's private life are published that would be deemed highly offensive to a reasonable person) for which the University of Nebraska Omaha assumes no responsibility.

Custodial History
Accession records are incomplete or absent. The materials were apparently transferred to University Archives by various officers of Student Government prior to 2014. Notes on boxes indicate some may have been transferred to the archives in 1993 and 1995/1996.
