UNO Chancellor's Commission on the Status of Women Records
Scope and Contents
The UNO Chancellor's Commission on the Status of Women Records comprise the print materials created by or gathered by the University of Nebraska at Omaha Chancellor's Commission on the Status of Women. The records cover the period from circa 1971 to the present. Included are annual reports (1974/1975-2008/2009, incomplete), awards luncheon information (1987/1988-2012/2013), budget information (1974/1975-1995/1996), documents relating to issues of concern, constitution/guidelines, correspondence, endowment fund information, membership information, minutes and agendas (1971/1972-1999/2000), programs presented, projects, scholarships, subcommittee records, surveys and responses, and miscellaneous. The collection includes a large portion of files and binders that have not yet been arranged and described.
New material added 2015-07-09: These materials, dated 2006-2012, include CCSW publicity materials, meeting minutes, correspondence, reports, books, and items generated through CCSW-member participation in CCSW and other UNO events.
New material added 2019-06-05: These materials, dated 2007-2013, were created and gathered by Wendi Chiarbos Jensen, CCSW Staff Co-chair. The material includes meeting minutes, membership lists, communications, planning for the annual luncheon, and related material.

The collection is open for research use. Manuscript collections and archival records may contain materials with sensitive or confidential information that is protected under federal or state right to privacy laws and regulations, the Nebraska Public Records Statutes (Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 84-712 through 84-712.09), and other relevant regulations. Confidential material may include, but is not limited to, educational, medical, and personnel records. Custodial History
Accession records are incomplete or absent. Materials have been transferred to University Archives by various members of CCSW before 2014.
New material added 2015-07-09: 1 box of correspondence, books, reports, and meeting minutes (2006-2012) was transferred to University Archives by Melissa Cast-Brede, co-chair of the 2015 UNO Chancellor’s Commission on the Status of Women (CCSW).
New material added 2019-06-05: 1 box of meeting minutes and brochures (2007-2013) was transferred to University Archives by Heidi Blackburn, CCSW Faculty Co-Chair, who received the CCSW records from Wendi Chiarbos Jensen, CCSW Staff Co-chair circa 2008-2011.
