UNO Doctoral Programs Collection
Scope and Contents
The UNO Doctoral Programs Collection is comprised of files related to the foundation of doctoral programs at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. The files include proposals, planning process documents by colleges and schools, correspondence, public input and UNO responses, press releases, newspaper clippings, Board of Regents involvement, UNO Graduate Council involvement, and miscellaneous information. Doctoral programs covered include for Business Administration (1987-1989), Information Science and Technology (2002), Criminal Justice (1991-1994), Gerontology (1989-1991, never implemented), Mathematics and Computer Science (1990), Psychology (1987), Public Administration (1991-1993), and Teacher Education (1987).

The collection is open for research use. Manuscript collections and archival records may contain materials with sensitive or confidential information that is protected under federal or state right to privacy laws and regulations, the Nebraska Public Records Statutes (Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 84-712 through 84-712.09), and other relevant regulations. Confidential material may include, but is not limited to, educational, medical, and personnel records.
