UNO Physical Plant Records

The UNO Physical Plant records are concerned with the buildings of the University of Nebraska at Omaha and its predecessor the University of Omaha. The records include both current buildings and buildings which no longer exist or are no longer UNO property, and cover the period from approximately 1908 to the present, although the vast majority of records cover the period from the 1970s to the present. The records comprise plans and program statements, physical plant information by building, architectural blueprints, and miscellaneous information. Plans and program statements include room usage records (1940-1945), comprehensive facilities plans, master plans, design development statements, renovation plans, expansion plans, construction projects and proposals, land acquisition records, program statements, donor files, work papers, parking studies, site analyses, utilization studies, capital construction budgets, and other miscellaneous reports and plans. Facilities represented include the Eppley Administration Building; Performing Arts Center; Milo Bail Student Center; Allwine Hall; Fine Arts Education Building; Durham Science Center; Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building; Sapp Fieldhouse; Engineering Building; Arts and Sciences Hall; Information Science and Technology Building; College of Public Affairs and Community Service; Downtown Education Center (Peter Kiewit Conference Center); University Library (Criss Library); and the Elmwood Park Ravine. Architectural blueprints have not been arranged and described.
