UNO Office of Academic Affairs Self Studies and Basic Institutional Data Reports

 Collection
Identifier: UNO-0028

Scope and Contents

The UNO Office of Academic Affairs Self Studies and Basic Institutional Data Reports comprise bound reports prepared for UNO's accreditation review with the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, which occurs once per decade. Available reports cover 1966/1967, 1969/1970, 1967/1977, 1986/1987, and 1996/1997. The report for 1969/1970, which breaks from the ten-year cycle, followed the University of Omaha's merger into the University of Nebraska system in 1968/1969. The self studies are prepared by academic units within UNO, and provide narrative coverage of UNO's institutional requirements, purposes, organization, academic programs, support programs, and other information. The basic institutional data reports are compilations of forms completed for the North Central Association, primarily including statistical information. Earlier basic institutional data reports included much information in narrative format, while later reports are composed primarily of tables. The reports in this collection are in their finished form, although a draft version of the 1986/1987 self study is available.
