 Item — Object: Awards [11]

Scope and Contents

"The Mystical Order of the Rewot" is an award statue made from towers of crushed cans and one hockey puck, presented to Dr. Delbert D. Weber by the UNO Faculty Senate, specifically H. Carl Camp, the President of the Senate. The crushed cans sit on a wooden base, with a gold colored plaque that says "'THE MYSTIC ORDER OF THE REWOT' DR. DELBERT D. WEBER CHANCELLOR, 1977-1997 UNO FACULTY SENATE" A certificate given to Weber is included. The award is in reference to the University's highest non-academic award, The Order of the Tower, as well as Weber's accidental reference of "H. Carl Camp" as "Carl H. Camp." This video explains some of their relationship, starting at the 53:30 mark: https://revelation.unomaha.edu/ohms-viewer/viewer.php?cachefile=UNO-0021-rfit-carl-camp.xml
