The mother of Norma Sinn, Irene J. Sohl, was a student at the University of Omaha in 1926 and is pictured in at least one of these images. Ms. Sinn wrote this about these photos:
"My mother thoroughly enjoyed her time at the University of Omaha. She spoke of the lasting friendships she had made, the chapel services to start the day, and an education that enabled her to do what she really wanted to do – teach. Just the fact that she kept these inconvenient-sized photographs through several moves suggests to me that the University of Omaha was something special to her."
