Scope and Contents
In 1987, Marion Marsh Brown, retired Municipal University of Omaha Professor (1954-1968) of English, was interviewed by Paul Borge for Reflections in Time. Biography: Professor Marion Marsh Brown received a B.A. (1927) in English from Peru (NE) State College and an M.A. (1930) in English from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Professor Brown was the author of many children's books and received recognition from a wide variety of literary associations, including the Boys Clubs of America, the Book of the Month Club, and the Catholic Children's Book Club. She received the Sower Award from the Nebraska Council of Teachers of English and the Mari Sandoz Award from the Nebraska Library Association. The UNO Chancellor's Commission on the Status of Women selected Marion Marsh Brown as the 2015 UNO Legendary Woman.
