Custodial History

Game film: In the mid-1960s, an employee of the library offered the original game film to Bob Mackie because he knew he had played in the game. The library was at the time discarding films. Mackie accepted the film and later cut the 900’ reel to three reels of approximately 300’ each to allow for playing on his personal film projector. The film was converted to a 3/4” tape and VHS tape in the 1980s. Criss Library digitized each of the formats in December 2015.

Existence and Location of Copies

Video digitized from original film and magnetic media formats. The recordings are hosted by the library. For physical copies, the original film and videotapes are housed in Archives & Special Collections.
