Scope and Contents
White Nebraska State University t-shirt with red text and an accompanying flyer about a campaign to change UNO's name to Nebraska State University. Circa 1985-1986, a proposal was made to create Nebraska State University, for which the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Kearney State College would be the main campuses, with several satellite campuses. Some variations on the proposal involved only UNO or only Kearney State becoming Nebraska State University. The proposal never came to fruition.
