Westward the Empire : Omaha's world fair of 1898
Scope and Contents
This television documentary, the first produced on the Trans-Mississippi and International Exposition of 1898, discusses the culture, values, and economy at the turn of the century. It examines the incredible construction project and the fair itself, a major historical event, which heralded the many accomplishments of the states west of the Mississippi River.
